Job Role Overview & Importance
Safety Officers play a critical role in industrial and oil & gas projects by ensuring all work activities are conducted according to approved safety procedures and company standards. In high-risk environments such as Aramco projects, Safety Officers are responsible for reducing workplace hazards, preventing accidents, and maintaining compliance with strict safety regulations. Their contribution is essential for protecting workers, equipment, and project operations while ensuring uninterrupted productivity at the worksite.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Selected candidates will monitor daily site activities, conduct safety inspections, and ensure workers comply with Aramco and project safety standards. Responsibilities include identifying hazards, implementing corrective actions, preparing safety reports, and conducting toolbox talks for workers and supervisors. Safety Officers are also expected to monitor the use of personal protective equipment, maintain proper documentation, and coordinate with project management teams to improve overall workplace safety performance. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to respond effectively to safety concerns on-site.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants must be Aramco Approved and should have previous experience working in oil & gas or industrial projects within Saudi Arabia. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, hazard management, and industrial safety procedures is highly preferred. Candidates should possess leadership qualities, communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in demanding project environments.
