Job Role Overview & Importance
Safety Officers are responsible for maintaining safe working environments and ensuring all project activities follow approved occupational health and safety procedures. In industrial and construction projects, this role is extremely important because proper safety management helps reduce workplace accidents, improve operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with company regulations. Safety Officers also play a key role in protecting workers, equipment, and project operations by promoting safety awareness and implementing preventive measures on-site.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Selected candidates will monitor workplace activities, conduct routine safety inspections, and ensure workers comply with approved safety procedures during project operations. Responsibilities include identifying workplace hazards, preparing safety reports, conducting toolbox talks, and implementing corrective actions where necessary. Safety Officers are also expected to ensure proper use of personal protective equipment, maintain accurate safety documentation, and coordinate with supervisors to improve site safety standards. Candidates must be capable of responding quickly to emergency situations and maintaining discipline within project areas.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants should possess valid NEBOSH certification along with previous experience working in industrial or construction safety roles. Good understanding of occupational health and safety procedures, hazard management, and emergency response systems is highly preferred. Candidates must hold a valid Iqama and active insurance linked with the Iqama. This opportunity is specifically open for Indian and Bangladeshi candidates. Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and the capability to work professionally under demanding project conditions are essential for this role.
