Job Role Overview & Importance
A Fire Watch worker plays an important role in industrial safety by monitoring work areas during welding, cutting, grinding, and other hot work activities that may create fire hazards. Fire Watch personnel help prevent accidents, identify unsafe conditions, and support emergency response procedures if required. In refinery and industrial environments, this role is highly important because it contributes directly to workplace safety, protection of equipment, and prevention of fire-related incidents.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Selected candidates will monitor designated work areas during hot work operations and ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures. Responsibilities include observing work activities for fire hazards, checking fire extinguishing equipment availability, maintaining communication with safety personnel and supervisors, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, and supporting emergency response actions if necessary. Fire Watch personnel are also expected to maintain workplace discipline and ensure project safety standards are followed throughout operational activities.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants should have previous experience working in industrial construction, refinery, or oil & gas environments within Saudi Arabia or Gulf countries. Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures, fire prevention methods, and industrial discipline is highly preferred. Candidates should be physically fit, attentive, and capable of working professionally in demanding industrial environments. Relevant safety certifications or project experience may provide an advantage during recruitment.
