Job Role Overview & Importance
A Rigger is responsible for handling lifting and rigging operations involving heavy materials, machinery, and industrial equipment at project sites. In oil & gas environments, this role is highly important because safe lifting operations directly affect workplace safety, operational efficiency, and project timelines. Riggers coordinate with crane operators and supervisors to ensure loads are properly secured and moved according to approved industrial safety procedures. Their expertise helps prevent accidents and maintain smooth workflow during project activities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Selected candidates will inspect rigging equipment, attach loads securely, guide crane operators during lifting activities, and ensure all operations follow industrial safety standards. Responsibilities also include checking lifting accessories before use, monitoring load balance, and maintaining communication with supervisors during heavy lifting tasks. Riggers are expected to identify unsafe conditions, follow workplace safety procedures, and support project teams during operational activities. The role requires physical fitness, concentration, and strong awareness of industrial hazards.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants should have previous experience working as riggers in oil & gas, industrial, or construction projects.
