Job Role Overview & Importance
A Work Permit Receiver plays a critical role in industrial shutdown and maintenance projects by ensuring all work activities are properly authorized and carried out according to approved safety standards. In petrochemical environments such as Sipchem facilities, this role is essential for maintaining operational discipline, reducing workplace hazards, and ensuring project activities are completed safely and efficiently. WPR professionals act as a coordination link between supervisors, workers, and safety departments during project execution.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Selected candidates will coordinate with supervisors and safety teams to obtain and manage work permits before any operational activity begins. Responsibilities include verifying site conditions, maintaining permit documentation, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and monitoring authorized work activities during shutdown operations. Work Permit Receivers are also expected to communicate safety instructions clearly, maintain accurate records, and support project teams in following industrial regulations. Strong attention to detail and workplace safety awareness are important aspects of this position.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants must possess valid Sipchem authorization and previous experience working as a Work Permit Receiver in industrial or shutdown projects. Good knowledge of industrial safety procedures, permit systems, and petrochemical project regulations is highly preferred. Candidates should have strong communication skills, professional discipline, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure during shutdown activities. Experience in refinery or petrochemical projects within Saudi Arabia will be considered an advantage.
