Job Role Overview & Importance
Firewatch personnel and Rigger Level III professionals both play important roles in industrial project environments. Firewatch staff help maintain workplace safety during welding, cutting, and hot work operations by monitoring potential fire hazards and ensuring emergency readiness. Rigger Level III workers are responsible for handling advanced lifting and rigging operations involving heavy materials and industrial equipment. These roles are essential because they directly contribute to project safety, operational efficiency, and smooth workflow during industrial activities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Selected Firewatch candidates will monitor hot work areas, observe safety conditions, maintain firefighting equipment readiness, and respond quickly in case of emergency situations. They are also responsible for ensuring workers follow approved fire safety procedures during operations. Rigger Level III candidates will supervise lifting activities, inspect rigging tools and equipment, guide crane operators, and ensure loads are secured properly before lifting operations begin. Both positions require strict adherence to industrial safety regulations, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently under project pressure.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants should have previous industrial or construction project experience related to their respective roles. Firewatch candidates should possess good awareness of fire prevention procedures and workplace safety standards. Rigger Level III applicants should have strong knowledge of lifting operations, rigging equipment, and heavy load handling techniques. Candidates must be physically fit, disciplined, and capable of working in demanding industrial environments. Experience in oil & gas or shutdown projects will be considered an advantage.
